Modemo is a
commercial organisation focusing on consulting organisations, end
users and manufacturers in the AAC field. Founded in 1994, Modemo
has developed from an AAC product import/distribution organisation
to product development and research organisation as
well.
- International and domestic AAC consultation and subcontracting work.
- Joint-ventures in Research & Development.
- Offering individual AAC set-up work and after-sales support services internationally and
domestically.
- Distributing and localising AAC products.
Modemo's main goal is to find
solutions and build structures that make things happen in both
levels: individual and social.
International and domestic AAC consultation
Modemo is focusing internationally. This has involved paid
consultation since 1993 (in USA mainly in California, Canada, UK,
Sweden).
During the years, we have formed a general view about AAC, mainly
in Europe and in the USA . With this policy, we can help public and
commercial organisations find suitable solutions for individual
users. A public project that Modemo has been been involved in, is:
EU TIDE Access. Modemo was particularly involved in the project's
symbol-based communication software's commercial redevelopment and
export trade consultation after the project.
Modemo has collaborators (engineers, anthropologists, therapists,
special teachers) mostly in Finland but some are also doing project
work for Modemo abroad when needed.
